NovaGroup and Public Security Sports Association join forces

The partnership aligns with the government's broader policy to encourage the socialisation of sports and mobilise private sector involvement.

As part of this effort, NovaGroup has officially become a corporate member of the Vietnam Public Security Sports Association, marking a notable milestone in the group's sustainability journey and underscoring its commitment to physical and mental wellbeing for the wider community.

Under the newly signed MoU, the two parties will collaborate on training and developing elite athletes and coaches, organising regional and international friendly tournaments among police forces, and promoting groundswell sports participation. The agreement also seeks to improve the quality of training and competition facilities, while fostering a culture of fitness and discipline within the public security sector and among Vietnamese youth.

Initially, the partnership will focus on tennis, golf, and shooting, disciplines where NovaGroup possesses established infrastructure and operational expertise.

Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, vice president of the association

Lieutenant General Nguyen Ngoc Toan, vice president of the association, stressed that sports play a crucial role in strengthening the physical health, determination, and combat readiness of public security personnel.

“This cooperation will be an important contribution to the association's development and to NovaGroup's community engagement goals,” said Toan.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, NovaGroup founder and chairman Bui Thanh Nhon highlighted the strategic value of the partnership.

"This collaboration brings tangible benefits to both parties. It supports the implementation of Resolution No.68-NQ/TW by the Politburo on promoting private sector growth, expanding the association's resource network, and improving training quality with access to international-standard facilities," Nhon said, adding that it will also foster wider public participation in sports and strengthen the association's role in Vietnam's national sports ecosystem.

For NovaGroup, the initiative enhances its corporate social responsibility agenda, while also positioning its flagship development, NovaWorld Phan Thiet, as a premier regional destination for sports, wellness, and tourism.

"The partnership opens up new opportunities for sustainable tourism and economic development through major sporting events. It also helps build a vibrant, connected community where physical, cultural, and spiritual values are cultivated," he added.

NovaGroup affirmed its commitment to being a proactive, responsible member of the association, contributing to its long-term growth and influence.

As part of its 2025 action plan, NovaGroup is preparing to launch several high-profile sports events in collaboration with partners, including an international clay pigeon shooting championship, the Aramco Golf Tournament, sponsored by the world's largest oil company from Saudi Arabia and set to attract top-tier global investors, and professional beach volleyball and martial arts competitions.

This partnership marks a significant turning point, opening up major opportunities for both parties to jointly advance key sports disciplines
